Today is Saturday

Aside from doing the grocery shopping and fixing a couple of meals, today has been a day of rest and relaxation.  I'm using my free time to browse Pinterest in search of new recipes, jewelry I can't afford to buy and places I can't afford to visit...but I'm enjoying the dreams.  I've also managed to upload two new photos.  The first one is of my granddaughter, Addison, kissing a frog (I don't really think he'll turn into a prince) and the second is of my niece, Erin, playing with cousins in Vacaville, CA.  Now that their photos are on the web, I can pin them to my photo board on Pinterest (which was one of my primary reasons for setting up a blog in the first place).  The second reason for the blog is to post some of my favorite recipes.  I enjoy cooking and I love sharing my successes with others.  Now I just need to decide which recipes to post first.  Guess I better get started...more later.

Maybe he will turn into a prince...

The Storm Will Pass

Where to begin?

Retirement has provoked a variety of new ideas and experiences for me.  When I was working, I didn't have the time or the energy to think about blogging.  Now that I'm semi-retired, I have the chance to try a new challenge.  I'm not promising that you'll discover any words of wisdom or mind-expanding concepts on this site...just my ramblings and the occasional recipe I'd like to share with the world at large.
